As great as the day was, there was a minor incident and I want to shout out to Kahuna and say I hope all is well there. For future reference, in the event of a suspected heart attack, stroke, diabetic attack or anything else that does no fall under minor cuts, scrapes, or scratches, please call 9-1-1! The lead road captain is ALWAYS the person in charge at any run whether at a stop or moving down the road. At a stop, after someone calls 9-1-1, the first person to look for is always the lead road captain as he knows the area and the route and should be able to get the quickest response. Once informed of the situation, it is his responsibility to direct others. Unless you are medically trained to assist, stay as clear as possible from the area and keep all traffic areas clear for the professionals. If an accident occurs while riding, no more than two bikes should pull over. Unless they are medically trained to assist, all other riders should continue down the road. In this case, the sweep road captain will be in charge. In either case, if you are the one who called 9-1-1, you may want to hand your phone over to the road captain to insure the operator gets the detailed location information needed.

Be sure you stay in touch on this website. The riding season is winding down but in no way, shape or form is Twisted Spoke gonna' be quiet this winter. We may not have the "Goodwill Runs" like we have been, but something will always be in the works. Anything of interest will be posted here so check back often.
