Message from the Webmaster
Site Crash A little while back the website crashed hard. The nightly backups were not set up correctly and pictures were lost. I have corrected the problems with the backups, but many pictures are still gone.
We Need Pictures Many of you sent me pictures from time to time after an event. I know it can be a hassle, but please send me the pictures again. I want to get our web gallery back to where it was OR BETTER!
Send any event picture you have to:
This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
Profile pictures were also lost. Most of you had pictures set up on the site for your profile. Please take the time to update your profile with a new picture. Remember, shrink the picture down to about 200 pixels wide before uploading it.
Site Improvements While repairing the site after the crash, I took the time to make some improvements. Minor improvements have been made to just about every feature on the site.
One of the most notable changes is in the way user profiles work. The notes section of your profile has been expanded to allow a little more user expression. A user browsing feature has also been added. When ever you are looking at a user profile, two arrows appear at each side of your browser to allow you to scroll through the profiles.
Your profile is also directly available. People can browse to your Train profile page without even logging in. Of course, if they are not logged in, the links to send messages are not shown. Try it out. My username on the site is LouisRLinux. Just replace my username with you own in the link bellow.

Great User Submitted Articles A while back our friend Kahuna wrote a nice article called Those Annoying Traffic Signals. Now our friend Jim Hungler has written Intersection Loop Sensors and Safety to let us know what we can do to make things better.
If you have an idea for an article, HELP US OUT. Don't be shy. Write it up and submit it. If you just don't feel you are the writer type, email me the idea and I will work with you to get it on the site.
Remember, articles that are no longer on the front page are not gone. They can usually be found in the News section of the site.
